INSURANCE SERVICE EMBRYOS
The buyer has the option to obtain insurance for the embryos offered for sale.
The following conditions apply:
Embryos carried in recipient mares are insurable once they have been in the mare for at least 75 days.
Immediately prior to the auction (preferably 1–2 days), the recipient mares are examined for pregnancy by the veterinary team in Mühlen (Dr. Steinmann and colleagues).
Only confirmed pregnancies are offered at auction. This pregnancy confirmation is mandatory for any claim settlement in the event of damage.
Insurance coverage ends 7 days after the foal’s birth.
Maximum insured value: €20,000, with an indemnity rate of 80% of that amount. Premium: 13% of the insured value plus 19% insurance tax.
The buyer must inform the organizer immediately after conclusion of the purchase contract whether an insurance policy is to be taken out in the buyer’s name and at the buyer’s expense. If the buyer does not provide such a declaration immediately after contract conclusion, no insurance will be obtained.
